The 2021 Domaine Drouhin, Dundee Hills Pinot Noir, is a beautiful expression of Oregon Pinot Noir. It is an elegant and powerful wine with layers of flavor that unfold on the palate. The wine is sourced from grapes grown in the Dundee Hills AVA, known for its cool climate and well-drained soils. This combination of factors produces Pinot Noir grapes that are ripe and intense in flavor but also retain their acidity and freshness. The 2021 Domaine Drouhin, Dundee Hills Pinot Noir is a wine that can be enjoyed or cellared for a few years to allow its complexity to develop further. It would pair beautifully with roasted meats, poultry, or mushrooms.

Our 2021 Pinot Noir Dundee Hills is youthful and bright, deftly downplaying the topsy-turvy growing season that ended with gentle, ideal harvest conditions. The wine is bursting with black cherry and ripe sour cherry tones on the nose, with hints of dried violets and lightly roasted coffee beans. The palate confirms the nose with added fresh raspberry, cranberry, and a decidedly earthy touch. This wine is lovely, vibrant, and elegant now, but I think it will be in a perfect place with 5 – 12 years of cellaring.
