Hortus NYC started with a vision to reinvent how we approach modern Asian cuisine. You’ll quickly see how this dining experience differs from what you typically expect: a welcoming, open kitchen, a design-forward atmosphere, and menu, carefully crafted dishes you won’t find elsewhere, and that’s just the start. We’ve blended the cuisines of many countries, including China, Thailand, and Korea, to create a fresh menu that combines these flavors in a unique way. Our specialized approach extends beyond our atmosphere and dishes, too. We highlight delicious tastes while celebrating sustainable and seasonal ingredients. The Press

This ambitious new Asian-accented restaurant strikes an elegant tone, with bar dining, an open kitchen and a chef’s table on the ground floor, and a garden lounge and main dining room upstairs. Velvety upholstery sets the style for diners, who may opt for raw bar specialties, charcoal-grilled eggplant, Korean-style chicken stew or braised pork belly. Seasonings like gochujang, Sichuan pepper, tart plums and ssamjang, a Korean dipping sauce, are used throughout.
